Art Sphere, Inc.
ASI is a non-profit, largely volunteer organization established to broaden the cultural horizons, and teach inner-city, low-income students fundamental art concepts in order to promote motivation in learning, growth of self-esteem, and self-expression.
ASI offers its education programs to culturally underserved Philadelphia youth at K-12 schools, after-school programs, and community centers. Programs are available for adults in local communities as part of intergenerational learning.
ASI collaborates with teachers and professionals to assess student and academic needs, integrating art instruction into regular scholastic curriculum. ASI runs art workshops for teachers that teach the integration of art educational methods into lesson plans which are jointly developed over the course of the workshops. ASI actively recruits and trains community volunteers.
Community Need
Our public institutions lack the resources to regularly deliver quality visual arts programming to all students. The lack of arts education programming impacts not only youth, but also the cultural and economic development of our region. ASI needs your support. ASI is an IRS 501 (c) (3) non-profit. Monetary contributions are tax-deductible and directly support our educational programs. Please send a check to the address below and help make a difference within the community.
